Community

Wilson County Emergency Management Agency is dedicated to all-hazards preparedness in the home, in the business, and in the community.  Many of the agencies outreach programs are directed to specific audiences around the county.

Many senior and family outreach programs are available through WEMA such as the residential Knox Box Program, family disaster planning presentations, residential fire sprinkler demonstrations, and NOAA weather alert radio campaigns. WEMA’s smoke alarm outreach program has installed 525 new smoke alarms in the homes of Wilson County residents in the past three years.

To hear more about WEMA’s outreach programs and what’s available contact the Planning Division Chief at 615-444-8799 X123.
